Harvest Family Ministries

Harvest Family Ministries (HFM) is a program of the Upstate Family Resource Center that provides emergency assistance to individuals and families, treating everyone with dignity and compassion. HFM works to serve those in need and provide our community with opportunities to get involved. HFM provides emergency support through the provision of food and financial assistance (as funds allow) to families and individuals in crisis.

In order to receive assistance from Harvest Family Ministries you must have the following:

  1. Your picture ID
  2. Your social security card
  3. Social security cards or Medicaid cards of others in the household
  4. Proof of current address (Applicable if your ID is out-dated)
  5. Proof of income (wages, disability, retirement, etc.)

IF seeking financial assistance- You must also bring, along with the above listed items:

  1. Proof you live in Spartanburg County District 2 (Applicable if your ID is out-dated)
  2. Your most current bill
  3. Your disconnect notice

Monday 9:00am-12:00pm.………………...Food Assistance only Tuesday – Thursday 9:00am-12:00pm…..Food and Financial Assistance Friday………………………………………..CLOSED

We have transitioned to an appointment system.

Clients must make appointments to receive food or financial assistance. Those without appointments will not be able to receive immediate assistance. They must arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of their scheduled appointment to fill out paperwork.

Walk-ins will not be seen after 11:45am.

If a client misses an appointment without calling to notify us, he/she must wait a week before making another appointment.

The Benefit Bank appointments (assistance with completing food stamp, Medicaid, FASFA, and voter registration) are available by appointment. Call 578-1379 to schedule.
