Give a Little Extra to Help Those Most in Need:
The COVID-19 crisis is real, and it’s here in Spartanburg County. It is claiming lives, compromising the health of thousands more and challenging our brave, local healthcare community and first responders by the minute.
It is threatening the viability of our small businesses and changing how our children are taught.
It is affecting our entire community.
Since 2007, The Upstate Family Resource Center (UFRC) has provided food, education, and support for local families and individuals who are hurting and in need in Northern Spartanburg County. Our clients suffer many different challenges from job loss to mental health challenges. No matter the reason for their need, each person has always been loved and shown respect and dignity.
Due to COVID-19, the UFRC has not been able to hold its formal fundraising events — a main source of operating income for the organization. Now more than ever, the UFRC needs your help to continue its mission to provide hope and help to those in need. Click donate and make a tax-deducible donation today.
The Upstate Family Resource Center’s (UFRC) Coronavirus Plan:
We continue to closely monitor developments and the global and local impact with respect to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Like all responsible nonprofits, we are taking steps to ensure the wellness and safety of our staff and patrons while ensuring we meet the needs of our community.
The UFRC continues to provide food and financial services to families in Northern Spartanburg County. Currently, we assist clients by appointment Monday through Thursday from 9-1pm. Due to staffing and volunteer limitations, we are unable to assist walk in clients. Those needing assistance should call 578-1379 x 1601 to make an appointment. At this time, we will not reopen to the public until June 30th
We are approaching this dynamic and still unfolding health crisis calmly, but judiciously. Our PASOs and Adult Education Programs are meeting with students and families via Zoom or other internet based connectivity.
We hope you find reassurance that we are well prepared, focused, and remaining agile as things evolve. Please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns. We will also post updates to this page as the need arises.
