The Upstate Family Resource Center is located at 1850 Old Furnace Road in Boiling Springs, SC. Operations are housed in a historic school building which, until January 2007, served as the Boiling Springs Middle School campus for Spartanburg County District Two.
The Center helps families thrive by providing support services, education, and community engagement. Our vision is to be the community leader in strengthening families. Focus areas include Crisis Intervention, Financial Literacy and Family Development.
In order to provide a central resource for family enrichment in our community, our primary strategy is collaboration. By partnering with local and countywide organizations as well as utilizing evidence based programing we provide families opportunities to stabilize, grow, and develop.
In 2017, District Two announced that the property we utilize along with the adjoining Boiling Springs 9th Grade Campus would be sold to offset costs of building a new Boiling Springs High School and renovating the old high school for a new 9th grade academy. As a result, the Upstate Family Resource Center board and leadership have been actively engaging community leaders in conversations concerning the need for new space to house the organization.
Although this seems like a great challenge, we are excited about our future and the possibilities that it brings.
