Our Programs

Positive Parenting Program (PPP)

Triple P is an evidence-based parenting program with an approach to raising children that aims to promote children’s development and manage their behaviors in constructive and non-hurtful ways. It is based on good communication and positive attention to help children develop. Parents learn how to implement assertive discipline, how to maintain realistic expectations of their children’s behaviors and the value of parental self-care.
Strengthening Families Program (SFP)

SFP is an evidence-based family skills training program for families. Parents and youth attend weekly SFP skills classes together, learning parenting skills and youth life and refusal skills. They have supper together sitting as families, then attend separate classes for parents and youth for the first hour, followed by a joint family practice session for the second hour. SFP has proved to be effective in reducing multiple risk factors for later alcohol and drug abuse, mental health problems, and delinquency.

Adolescent Family Life (AFL)

AFL serves adolescent pregnant and parenting students enrolled in educational programs. Students receive weekly Healthy Lifestyle Classes and meet one-on-one as needed. In these sessions, participants build plans to reach educational goals, make choices that prevent subsequent pregnancies, access needed resources in the community, and navigate ways to raise healthy and happy children. AFL services will increase their knowledge and practice of healthy and effective parenting strategies.
Circle of Parents (COP)

COP provides caregivers with the knowledge, skills, and support to raise strong, resilient, and happy children.

COP provides a friendly, supportive environment facilitated by trained facilitators, but led by parents and other caregivers. It’s a place where anyone in a parenting role can openly discuss the successes and challenges of raising children. It’s a place where they can find and share support.

COP groups meet monthly or bi-monthly, are free of charge, and foster an open exchange of ideas, support, information, and resources. These kinds of groups serve those parenting children of all ages and families of all types.
