Meet the Team

Kelley Ezell is the Executive Director of the Upstate Family Resource Center, where she has led efforts since 2007 to strengthen families and build community resilience. A lifelong resident, she is passionate about creating opportunities for children and families to thrive.

I am Nora, and I love serving my community and giving back in every way I can. I am passionate about walking alongside families, helping them find education, health, and resources that support their daily lives. My greatest joy is making sure families feel connected, encouraged, and empowered to build a better future, and I am grateful to lead a wonderful team that shares this same commitment.

Missy Padgett began her career in banking before stepping away to raise her two sons. She later worked as a bookkeeper for a local church, where she enjoyed combining her financial experience with serving others. Missy and her husband, Tommy, have two adult children. In her free time, she enjoys running races from 5Ks to half marathons, spending time on the lake, and being with family.

Judy Dodd is a Family Support Navigator for the Upstate Family Resource Center. She first started at the center in 2017 as a volunteer, training to re-enter the workforce through the Goodwill Back to Work Program. In 2018, she became the receptionist for the Upstate Family Resource Center. Since then, she was promoted to be the Family Support Navigator. She loves working to help families.

Liv Hayes, Family Development Coordinator at UFRC, has nearly 20 years of experience empowering families through education, encouragement, and support. She leads the Triple P and Strengthening Families Programs with a passion for helping every individual feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Nadiia Kim, a Community Health Worker at the Upstate Family Resource Center, brings 30 years of experience supporting families and children. Originally from Ukraine, she and her Korean husband Leo have built an international family with their daughter and son. With a medical background and personal insight into the challenges immigrants face, Nadiia is passionate about helping parents and children thrive.

Amida, is originally from Colombia, and is passionate about supporting community well-being. As a Community Health Worker, she focuses on mental health and emotional support, creating a welcoming and compassionate space for everyone. She also enjoys leading craft activities, using creativity to build connections and strengthen community ties.

Nahari is a proud mom and a Community Health Worker who loves working with families in her community. She enjoys being a part of the network of support for mothers in their parenting journey because she understands how challenging and demanding this stage can be.

My name is Bertha Hernandez. I am a CHW, wife, mother, and grandmother; I love spending time with my family. I enjoy helping families in our community to locate resources they need to have a better quality of life.

Hi! I’m Gaby 😊 I love nature, jogging, and getting lost in a good book. I’m happily married and share my home with two adorable cats, Gary and Yare 🐾. My favorite season is autumn, and I absolutely love Christmas!

Melissa Poggio is the Program Coordinator at Harvest Family Ministries, where she supports participants on their journey to economic mobility. She is passionate about providing a helping hand, believing that at some point, we all need one. She firmly believes that everyone with the right support has the power to thrive, not just survive. Her guiding motto is “Let’s make today an awesome day! ¡Hagamos que hoy sea un día increíble!”

Eric is the Principal Owner of Hayler Group Consulting and a former associate at BMW and Amazon.  He and his wife, Marianne, have two daughters, Zora and Jazz, and three Shetland Sheepdogs.  He is a member of CrossFit Corvus.  In his free time, he likes to help in the community by volunteering at the Center.

Sonja is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones.  Her personal experience has given her a passion for helping others plan for their future.  She loves to travel anywhere there is water!  She is also committed to supporting the Center and their work of helping families thrive.

Mauricio Sierra is a global Quality and Technology leader with deep expertise in change management, digital transformation, and ISO/IATF/AS auditing. He’s collaborated with top-tier clients across the automotive and aerospace industries, driving operational excellence and customer value.

Mauricio combines his professional acumen with a heartfelt commitment to community development, mentorship, and Family business advocacy. Outside the boardroom, he’s a dedicated triathlete, having completed over 17 Ironman events.

Pam and her husband have lived in Boiling Springs for forty years. She taught at Mabry Middle School for 32 years and retired in 2015. Soon after retiring, she worked part-time at Frank's Plants and began volunteering for UFRC. Pam states that she is proud to be a member of this wonderful organization.
